We hope you'll join the Lawrence Bicycle Club on November 6, 2016 fro the Tour de Chicken Creek gravel road ride. If you aren't interested in a 100 mile gravel grinder or a 200 mile DK endurance event this is your ride. This is a civilized, fully supported, 40 to 45 mile gravel ride, with a shorter 20 to 25 mile loop option. SAGs with snacks, water and restrooms will be provided. The roads are hard-packed, with a few rolling hills and limited motor traffic. Mountain bikes, hybrids, cross bikes, and recumbents with tires appropriate for hard-packed gravel are recommended. Road bikes with 28-37c tires should also work well. The starting point will be the Lawrence Riverfront Park just west, over the left from the intersection of 59 and 24/40 highways in North Lawrence.
